Flu vaccines are now available. Ottawa Public Health recommends flu shots for everyone, including children over 6 months of age and pregnant women.

To receive a flu vaccine in your physician’s office, please check your physician’s page for details:

Merivale Physicians
Drs. Hirsh and Manzig

Some pharmacies do have flu shots available and you can check with your local pharmacy to see if they have vaccinations in stock. Children age 5 and over can receive their flu vaccine at the pharmacy. Ottawa Public Health is holding flu clinics only for certain populations - information about their clinics can be found here.

For more information about flu shots and the influenza vaccine this season, you can refer to the following websites:

We encourage all patients who are able to receive their flu vaccine through their pharmacy to do so, if possible. Pharmacies WILL be carrying the high-dose vaccine for those over the age of 65.

Children under the age of 2 will not be able to receive their flu vaccine in a pharmacy. Ottawa Public Health will be hosting immunization clinics for children, and we will be prioritizing children and at-risk individuals for flu vaccination in our offices.
